Looking Back at Peach Jam

With the coronavirus imposing its will on large gatherings and forcing sports leagues and venues to close, I am taking a look back at some of the many memories of Nike's Peach Jam that I have collected from the sidelines.

Harry Giles of Team CP3 and Jason Tatum of the St. Louis Eagles (now Brad Beal Elite) embrace after a game between the two that ended on a buzzer-beater during the 2015 Nike Peach Jam Final Four.

From matchups between the #1 and #2 high school players (Harry Giles and Jason Tatum) to elevated portrait set ups, this trip down memory lane gets me excited about what next season will look like.

De'Aaron Fox lead Houston Hoops at Peach Jam as one of the fastest and most dynamic point guards in the game.

As the years progressed, I was able to bring in more and more support on my team to help document the pinnacle of grassroots sports and the progress has been evident. Working with a team is not only more efficient, but it's also more fun when I can share these moments with talented creatives and basketball fans.

Cam Reddish suited up for Team Final before taking his talents to Duke and later being drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA.

The Georgia Stars, lead by Udoka Azubuike and Wendell Carter, took the Peach Jam crown in 2015.

In 2019, MoKan edged Team WhyNot for a 1-point victory to get to the peaches and the highly coveted Peach Jam title.

The Oakland Soldiers got hot at just the right time to emerge as the last team standing after Peach Jam 2017.

In 2015 Team CP3 suited up 3 eventual NBA players in Harry Giles, Joshua Okogie, and Grant Williams at Nike Peach Jam.

By 2019 I was leading a production team to document the event through stills including the signature portrait station and I directed a video crew to produce the inaugural "One Peachy Moment", a recap of all of the action, tension, and excitement that is Peach Jam.
